Expectations

Southwest Early College is public charter high school with a mission to enroll students who have a desire for education beyond high school. Southwest Early College provides the opportunity for students to gain the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to be successful in both high school and college courses. SEC students take college-level coursework leading to both a high school diploma and an associate's degree.

Being a Southwest Early College Student means:

Being at a school of choice

Being committed to pursuing a college education

Taking college courses at Community College of Denver

Maintaining a professional demeanor consistent with the college atmosphere

Eliminating all electronics (cell phones, music and videogame devices) from classes

Spending 5-6 hours per week on homework

Meeting weekly with your advisor to review your grades, progress, and academic plan

Having the opportunity to earn an Associates of Arts, Science or General Studies degree for free!
